Calculating Actual Savings Tutorial

This tutorial details how you can use your customer’s electricity usage (from bills or utility meter data) and the solar production data you already collect to calculate and present their Actual Savings.
Calculating actual costs and actual savings is a multi-step process. This tutorial will take you through that process from beginning to end, addressing the most common use cases and exceptions:
- Step 1. Provision a Site will create or prepare the Site (Account) for your customer.
- Step 2. Calculate Electricity Costs load electricity usage data and calculate actual billing costs.
- Step 3. Calculate Solar Costs load solar production data, and optionally calculate its costs.
- Step 4. Calculate Actual Savings calculate what the customer’s utility bill would have been without solar, and then their utility and net savings.
